The Basel-based family business was founded in 1753 and is one of the 30 oldest companies still in existence in Switzerland today. Jakob’s Basler Leckerly is also the oldest still operationally active company in Basel today. Jakob’s Basler Leckerly was one of the Läckerli pioneers and was named Läckerli King in the course of the 19th century. To this day, the company still produces in the old town of Basel and is the only historical Leckerly manufactory still in existence.
Leckerly are made fresh by hand every day according to recipes from four different centuries. Only selected raw materials are used and processed with love.
The company is run by the Basel owner family Charlotte & Andreas Kuster. The operation is managed by Fabian Wetzler.
Jakob’s Basler Leckerly is the registered trademark. The full legal name of the company is “Karl Jakob Nachf. von J.J. Steiger sel. Erben AG”.
